The outbreak of the swine flu has panicked millions of people and cancelled a whole lot of trips for a bit. Nowadays, it has suddenly become just one of those things that have passed us and people are starting get back to their normal lives. Still, a lot of people have come up with a pandemic flu preparedness plan that will be a whole lot useful this upcoming season when the seemingly harmless flu would strike us, yet again.Fall is the season for the usual flu outbreak. This is mainly the reasons why people in healthcare are very particular since kids will be going back to school and the common flu is not just a small concern anymore. A H1N1 would start off as the common flu and end up causing much misery of illnesses and deaths. The initial pandemic flu preparedness plan has been set in order to avoid more problems.The World Health Organization has been leading the pandemic flu preparedness plan which has been on the news recently. The flu may not be that severe but it does spread widely and at a fast pace. WHO monitors the pandemic's activity and does its best to come up with possible solutions to minimize and isolate the impact of new diseases.As far a research goes, there is still no known vaccine for the A H1N1 that has been developed. However, aside from the pandemic flu preparedness plan, researchers are still to come up with one. In addition, there are already antiviral drugs that may combat the symptoms of the disease and may help prevent it from getting too worse.We have to do our part as well since if we are not too careful, we may contract it, too. There are specific guidelines that have been prepared to minimize the spread of the disease such as covering the mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing and staying at home when you are sick. Everyone should work hard in taking part in the pandemic flu preparedness plan.
