The Law of Attraction seemed like such an ethereal theory to me when I first heard about it. There was something mystical about the whole concept and I was immediately drawn to learn all I could about applying this principle to my life. As a result, I made a study of the subject and began using this principle of "attracting" into my experience what I wanted to experience by focusing on that thing. What I have learned, I will attempt to outline here in this writing.
The first rule I learned in the Law of Attraction is you attract what you focus on, whether you want to experience it or not. For many, this is hard to imagine, especially if these are unfavorable circumstances. Once I realized that my focus had to shift from what I didn't want to experience to what I did, I understood that many of the experiences [in retrospect] were experiences that I had unintentionally attracted.
What I have learned in the use of Law of Attraction is that my thought process must remain consistent in order to realize what I was wanting to experience. Being wishy/washy or indecisive about what I wanted would only bring a confused state to my experience.
When I was experiencing financial troubles that seemed more than I could bear, I realized that I had to change what I was focusing on after I learned about the Law of Attraction. I started visualizing myself having more than enough to handle my bills. It felt good to imagine that and I associated that feeling with that thought. Then I began to imagine myself having a productive business venture and being successful in it all the time. It was period of time before I could change my focus completely and before I knew it, the circumstances of my life began to change. I was making more money, my bills were diminishing, and my life became more balanced.
There were things in my life that I wanted to change and eliminate completely and the 'SECRET' was only to shift my focus from what I was experiencing to what I wanted to experience. There were sometimes when I struggled with that concept because I knew that the external evidence was overbearing. I remembered what I read from famous author Ernest Holmes, "life always begins from within, never from without". I had to literally create the experience in my mind and experience it with whatever feeling I knew I would experience it with when it actually manifested itself in my life. The Law of Attraction is a profound universal truth...does it work? It has and continues to do so for me.
The Law of Attraction is a principle, not a religion. It is absolute and works for anyone who can apply it effectively.
