Chakra Balancing With Massage

Chakras are the “spinning Wheels” of Energy That Flow Through the Body. When These Energy Centres are Out of Balance, They Can Cause Dis-ease Within our Body. When These Centers are Brought Back Into Balance – They Restore Harmony to our Mind, Body & Soul. Restoring This Harmony Can be Through Different Means – Including Sound, Essential Oils, Colour, Flower Essences, Gems, Breathing Techniques and Massage.

The chakras are made up of seven energy centers.

1. Crown

2. Third Eye

3. Throat

4. Heart

5. Solar Plexus

6. Navel

7. Root (Base)

When these chakras are unbalanced, they can bring about dis-ease with the body and disrupt the harmony of the body on all levels – including the emotional, physical and spiritual levels.

The Crown Chakra is our connection with universal energy.

The Third Eye Chakra is our window to seeing the world.

The Throat Chakra is our center for expression.

The Heart Chakra is our center of Love.

The Solar Plexus is our fire centre.

The Navel Chakra is associated with our intuition and sexuality.

The Base Chakra is linked with our instinct to survive – connecting us to the earth.

Each of these centres corresponds with different parts of the body, different sets of emotions and affect different parts of our aura. When they are unbalanced they can manifest into physical symptoms.

Massage can help to restore the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual body, down to a cellular level. Whether relaxation or remedial massage, polarity therapy or reiki is used - they all affect the charkas to restore harmony.

To further enhance a massage treatment, a practitioner may also use a variety of other tools within a treatment session. These include the use of essential oils, which can be tailored to the individual. Crystals may be placed in significant places to affect the energy of the charkas – or used for massaging specific areas of the body. At the same time, a chakra balancing CD will tune chakras to specific vibrational frequencies. Throughout a treatment session, you may be asked to do some deep breathing – which also helps to release tension within certain parts of the body while specific strokes are performed by your therapist. At the end of the treatment, your therapist may choose to do gentle hands-on healing, balancing the charkas using Polarity Therapy of Reiki.

At the end of treatment you are left with the total feeling of balanced harmony within your body, a complete relaxation feeling and sometimes in a meditative state. This is where you will feel a complete Chakra Balance.
